Painting or rather having inspiration to get started to paint is very difficult. I have been absent from my easel and distant from my paintbrushes for far too long. They are calling me.<\/p>\n
The reason I have been so distant is that I have been struggling with health issues for some time now and usually my ‘centering practice’ or meditation has been to paint. I am not sure why I put such an important part of who I am aside, perhaps ‘recovery’ for me meant to do absolutely nothing… besides losing myself in novels and movies, wanting to disconnect myself completely.<\/p>\n
I am hoping that this blog will help me as I attempt to reintroduce myself to my tools and canvas.
\nI have a painting on my dining room table barely started, winking at me from time to time. I guess I have to start somewhere, like getting back on the horse after a very bad fall.<\/p>\n
